President's Message

Hello and welcome to our New Web Site, this Site is now controlled totally by 2YOU FM volunteers and will soon be full of information to help guide you to the happenings here at 2YOU FM..

20th May 2010, Two more people that need a huge thank you are Dawn and Ken from the Robert Street Seafood Take Away in South Tamworth. They have put together two fifty dollar seafood raffles that are going so well. Thank you very much guy's. Don't forget the big day on Saturday 22nd of May here at the Station starting at 10:00am.

It's a combined Open Day / Garage Sale (Fund Raiser) and it looks like a good day weather wise, there will be Food, Drinks as well as Tea and Coffee available on the day. The place is already full of goodies thanks to the very kind people    

that have donated there unwanted items.

19th May 2010, Today was the start of the Jo Lavelle program on 2YOU fm,titled It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing. Jo started with a buzz and things ran smoothly other than a couple minor problems at the beginning, the show went to plan. Jo tells us that she will be back.

15th May 2010, As of today the volunteers at the Station have been busy collecting all sorts of goods from the kind people of Tamworth and surrounding districts, and once again, thanks to you all. We will keep on collecting until Friday night.

30th March 2010, We have now a date for our Open Day and Monster Garage Sale here at 20 Darling Street, Tamworth.

Yes that's right, we have decided to hold a Monster Garage Sale with our Open Day on the 22 May 2010 and make it a huge day for everyone.    

There will be something for everyone at this Sale. You can check out the Radio Station and see how we do things here or you can check out all the goodies at our big sale. We will have food and drinks, Coffee and Tea as well as lots of food. If you have something  that you would like to donate, just give us a call at 2YOU FM and we can arrange a pickup or you can drop it in to our office, but please give us a call first on 67 666 342

As of Friday 12 March, 2YOU FM will broadcast Col Elliott's Coming To A Town Near You, From 4pm to 5pm, it is a family comedy radio program that brings more entertainment as well as Sponsorship dollars for 2YOU FM.

There has been a couple of other program changes, they are Stewart Nicol will be moving from Monday night to Monday morning's Country Breakfast and Errol Bourne will be moving from Monday afternoon spot to Monday's Tamworth Today.

2YOU FM is currently building the (From The Beginning) page and would love to hear from anybody that has some vital information or photo's from the early days of this Radio Station. If you can help out at all, please contact David Logan or Kathy Smyth on 02 67 666 342

In the interest of health and safety, 2YOU FM now has a policy of no smoking within the property boundaries. Just a reminder that membership fees are now due and must be paid by 28th February 2010. Any member still unpaid by March 01 will need to re apply for membership. 2YOU FM will be holding our Open Day for 2010 very soon, and if you would like to help out, please contact Kathy Smyth or myself. We are aiming for mid May for the Open day. It will be great to see as may people as possible turning up on the day.

If you have been thinking of joining 2YOU FM or checking us out, the Open Day would be a great time to do it. Drop in and have a chat with us while enjoying a nice cuppa and something to eat, see how things work here and if you like it, you can join and become a member, you can even train to become a presenter. Check back soon and we should have a date for the Open Day. It's going to be a great day and there will be Office staff here to answer any questions you may have.
